He also seemed to be handling Akuma pretty well too. Without getting into spoilers this game pretty much showed this is not the case, and he doesnt "just get his ass beat". Kazuya might look more evil, but he still is the weakest of the three lol. Shock horror, it's Kazuya who looks more evil- as he has since Tekken 2. This game's story was always going to focus on Kazya and Heihachi, and in that context one of them was always going to look more evil. Lee, Lars, Alisa and Jin are who the game is presenting as the good guys, and they don't seem to think that Heihachi has turned face.
#TEKKEN 8 THEORIES SERIES#
If anything what Tekken 7 did do was make Lee one of the series most prominent goodies. At most it made Heihachi a villain protagonist by making him not as evil as Kazuya. When he's obviously considered that a potential consequence of his actions is child murder, and goes ahead with those actions anyway he proves himself to be evil.Īnd as I've said earlier, I don't think Tekken 7 did do that. And Heihachi decided "What the hell, you only live once." That means Heihachi thinks there is a decent chance that Kazuya is a perfectly normal child who will die if he's thrown off a cliff.

Remember, even in his words- that is the version that's trying to make himself look good- Heihachi admits that he threw Kazuya off the cliff to find out for sure whether or not Kazuya had the devil gene.

Perhaps, but Heihachi only suspected Kazuya was half devil when he tried to murder him. But being not as evil as Kazuya doesn't make Heihachi "good" by any means. On the basis that child murder is generally evil, and attempting child murder is thus evil, I would say Heihachi is pretty evil.īut he's not Kazuya, and Kazuya established, I think, in Tekken 2 that the son is more evil than the father in this case. He did try to murder his son (when Kazuya was still a child- the later attempts on Kazuya's life are sort of justified), on suspicion of him having dodgy genetics.
